This is something my boyfriend not so seriously asked me.. yet it got me thinking..
He was basically hint asking if I dress up for other men when I go out with the girls for instance
Some girls have even accused me of dressing up to just plain "show off"
The girls that have followed me for a while or those of you have looked through a lot of my blog will know I have confidence issues, it's only been the last couple of years I've not just hid in my clothes.
It's really been in the last year that I have come out of my fashion shell. I would have never dreamed of showing my legs, a bit of ankle was pushing it. Now though, people are most likely sick of my pins...

These are from New Look, not mine yet but I'm hoping to get something similar!
These shorts are very short.. If I didn't have the shorts underneath there would be cheekage!
SO, who do you dress up for? Men? Like the attention?
Other girls?
Or just yourself?
I have to say I don't know.
I'm 100% sure I don't dress up for other men, the attention freaks me out. Even If I was single I don't think I'd go on "the pull"
Maybe for girls..? It's always nice to be told I look good and I always make a point of telling people they look good too..
It's just hit me... A lot of the time I dress up... for you lot...
I do try a little harder to look nice for my followers.. For a nice OOTD or whatever...

ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend/ friends don't really notice if I try hard to dress up but I'm very concious that 99% of people who I see everyday out and about are judging me on what I wear.
I do also love making an effort and looking in the mirror and thinking that I look good :)

I dress for my friends and other girls, not showing off- however every girl looks at what other girls wear.

ReplyDeleteI dress up for me. I feel so much more confident if I've made an effort with makeup/clothes/hair and feel like I look good. As my fiance well knows, if I don't think I look nice, it affects me for the rest of the day! And it makes no difference if he thinks I look amazing, it's what I think that matters. xxx

I dress up for myself because I definitely want to have the confidence in myself to know my own style. I definitely don't dress for men or girls, sometimes I get the "girls stare" and I don't care at all, I am who I am and I'll dress what I like because a girl should have confidence in what she wears and not have the ideal thoughts of what others think.
